RPG Games 2011
In the past, RPG games are not much of a gamer type of PC case. Back in the 1990s, many Amiga and PC gamers love playing genre. Debated, one of the best RPG game to come out at that time was a game called Eye of the Beholder. It is probably not the most popular role playing game of all time but has had a cult following for years.
As popular as a game that casual gamers are not warmed to the genre or not. This was considered “too nerdy” for cool kids who were playing the likes of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat II.
It was not until the release of Final Fantasy VII in 1997 that introduced the RPG genre in a big way and is considered “cool” to a wider audience.
RPG developed since then, but has taken a seat recently returned to the FPS genre. Thanks to the popularity of Call of Duty franchise, the FPS game genre has become the most widely known and popular in 2011. That does not mean there is that the RPG genre was dead in 2011 as the number of games have been and will be released this year.
One of the biggest genre output this year has been the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2. Xbox 360 and PC gamers will prosper as a franchised Mass Effect is exclusive to their platform. That until January 2011 that the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 PS3 hit the road. PS3 owners very happy to know they have a superior version of the game as the addition to come again and better graphics. RPG Mass Effect, and fans can hope for effect ofMass 3 release later this year.
Other major games released so far in 2011 is Dragon Age II. Much like Mass Effect, Dragon Age franchise also created and developed by BioWare. PC gamers may have the best RPG game of 2011 as the wait for Diablo 3 hits the end of this year. The Torchlight really loved her debut on the Xbox 360 earlier this year. It previously exclusive PC but Xbox 360 owners can now enjoy this action-rpg with download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Japanese RPG fans have to wait for release of Final Fantasy XIII-2. This is a direct sequel to 2010′s Final Fantasy XIII. Fans are disappointed with Final Fantasy XIII will be pleased to know that Square Enix is looking to improve the gameplay of this sequel. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released at the end of 2011.
The great thing about 2011 is how much technology has evolved over the years. A of the RPG game can now be enjoyed for free as an internet browser game. One of my favorite recently released the Super Stick RPG game. They play a similar role with a lot of playing games like Final Fantasy, and comes complete with cutscenes and battle system as well.
This is only a small part of the game can be enjoyed in 2011. There are many RPG games available for you to play this year. If you are tired of generic FPS games and linear, try to give the RPG genre. The best RPG’s to provide you with more than 40 hours or more fun to offer games that are not linear as most FPS games. Do yourself a relief to play at least one RPG game released in 2011. You will not regret it.
If you want to play old-school style fantasy RPG game then this is the game for you. This may not be flashy as the Final Fantasy games, but still offers hours of fun.
